In the terraced houses from the 1970s to the 1990s the staircase is often narrow. Whatever does not fit through the stairwell goes out through the window with our moving lift; you can also hire that lift on its own, with or without an operator, if you do the rest of the loading yourself. In Kleipetten, Westerhaghe and Rijnsburg-Noord there is usually more room in the street.

On your driveway or another spot on your own property we simply put the container down. In Kleipetten and Rijnsburg-Noord there is usually more room in the street as well than around the old centre. You load it at your own pace, we seal it in your presence and take it to our warehouse. Later we bring it back wherever you want it.

How we guard your belongings in our Katwijk warehouse

You get your own container, which is sealed in your presence and then sits in one of our own warehouses. The system knows exactly where each container is.

Every container gets a seal with a unique number. Broken seal = visible. No one gets in in the meantime, not even us.

Renovating or between two keys

If you are renovating first or there is time between two sets of keys, your belongings go into your own container at your home. In a terraced house from the 1970s to the 1990s we take beds and wardrobes apart for the narrow stairs.

The handover of my home in Rijnsburg-Noord or De Horn is delayed. What happens to my belongings?+

They stay sealed in your own container, in our warehouse in Katwijk. Together we find a new moving date, and the container only opens again at your new address. Let your account manager know about a delay as early as possible, so the planning can be adjusted.

I live in the old centre of Rijnsburg. Is there room for a container in the street?+

That is difficult, because there is little space around the old village centre. During the survey we check where the truck can stand. If a spot from the municipality of Katwijk is needed, we apply for it on request, as an extra service. If there is no room for a container, our movers load from the truck, or you bring your things to our automatic self storage in Katwijk yourself.

Where can the container stand outside the old centre?+

On your driveway or on your own property is usually no problem. On the street, general rules for objects on the road apply in the municipality of Katwijk: not on the carriageway if there is a pavement or parking space, and not in front of a driveway or on a disabled parking space. Tell us in your request where you want it and we will check whether it fits there. In Kleipetten, Westerhaghe and Rijnsburg-Noord there is usually more room in the street. If there is no room, our movers load.

How big does the container need to be for my home in Rijnsburg?+

For a small apartment in Westerhaghe or Frederiksoord, 16 m³ is usually enough. The contents of a terraced house from the 1970s to the 1990s, or of a family home in Rijnsburg-Noord, fit in 33 m³. If you have tall wardrobes or other bulky items, choose 37 m³: the same floor area, 30 centimetres taller.

How far in advance should I arrange this?+

Our planning runs about 8 weeks ahead. If your date is not fixed yet, request your price now anyway: that way we already reserve a period for you. If your date is closer, with a thousand of our own containers in Katwijk and Tilburg there is often still room at short notice.
