Oomen Verhuizers & Opslag moves municipalities, water boards and other government organisations. A project manager surveys the buildings and writes a relocation plan, so services to residents are interrupted as little as possible. We work with framework agreements and in most cases move electrically.
What Oomen takes care of in a government relocation
The relocation plan states for each part how it is packed, when it moves and where it goes in the new building.
Offices and workplaces
Desks, chairs, cupboards and meeting rooms. Every workplace gets a move code that matches the floor plan of the new building.
Archives and files
In order, in numbered archive boxes that we seal on request. We handle sensitive documents discreetly.
IT and equipment
We dismantle and reassemble workplaces, including cable management, screens and network equipment. We coordinate disconnecting and reconnecting with your IT department or IT partner.
Reusing or disposing of furniture
A relocation often leaves furniture over. We have it reused or refurbished, and what can no longer be used is disposed of through certified partners.
Assembly, mounting and lifts
Our handyman assembles workplaces and mounts whiteboards and lighting. For buildings with several floors we have our own moving lifts, up to the 13th floor.

From the survey to the handover of the old building.
Survey on location
The project manager walks through both buildings department by department and looks at volumes, lifts, loading bays and the route between the addresses.
Quote and relocation plan
The quote follows the survey, or the assignment within a framework agreement. The project manager writes the relocation plan: the order per department, the move codes and who does what.
Packing
Staff pack their own workplace using our crates and labels, or our movers do it. We pack IT and archives separately.
Moving days
Teams led by a foreman move department by department, in the order of the relocation plan. We schedule public counters for the moment residents notice it least.
Handover
Workplaces are set up according to the floor plan and we collect the crates. On request we clear the old building and hand it over broom-clean.
Framework agreement, single assignment and planning
If you work with a framework agreement, you call off assignments without requesting a new quote each time. For a single assignment we plan eight weeks ahead. Need it sooner? At short notice there is often still room. Just give us a call.

We carry out all assignments for the municipalities in the Leiden region fully electrically. We drive 27 electric vehicles and charge them with power from the more than 1,000 solar panels on our buildings in Katwijk and Tilburg. Kiwa audits us every year for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and VCA. Our movers hold a certificate of conduct (VOG) and VCA.
