Rent storage space in Lisse

Loading yourself takes longer there than you expect, and our movers take large furniture apart or lower it through the window with the lift. If you live in an apartment in the centre, we agree the use of the lift with the owners' association.

If the container stands on your own driveway, a permit does not come into it. In Lisse Zuid loading yourself often takes longer than you expect, because of the narrow staircase and a full attic. You load it at your own pace, we seal it in your presence and take it to our warehouse. Later we bring it back wherever you want it.

What permit does the municipality of Lisse require for a container on the street?+

A permit for the use of public land. It applies to any object on the public road, including a container or moving lift, and has to be applied for at least two weeks in advance. We check during the survey if your address needs it and, on request, handle the application as an extra service. If the container stands on your own driveway, the permit does not come into it. Tell us in your request where you want it and we will check whether it fits there. If there is no room, for example in the blue zones around the shops in the centre, our movers load and the container goes from the truck to the warehouse sealed.

I am moving in Lisse in spring. Do you take the Keukenhof into account?+

Yes. From mid-March to early May it is busy around the Keukenhof and at the junction with the N208, and on corso Saturday the parade passes through the village in the afternoon. We then choose a different route or time for delivering and collecting your container. If you can be flexible, Monday to Wednesday is usually quieter at the Keukenhof.

Which container size suits a terraced house or apartment in Lisse?+

For a small apartment in the centre, 16 m³ is usually enough. The contents of a terraced house in Lisse Zuid or a family home in Lisse Noord fit in 33 m³. In Lisse Zuid, count the attic too, because it is often full. With tall or bulky items you choose 37 m³: the same floor area, but 30 centimetres taller.

Can I get to my belongings in between?+

Yes. Your container is kept in our warehouse on Taanderstraat in Katwijk. You book a moment in the app and the computer-operated crane puts it ready at the covered loading dock. That is possible until 19:00 on working days and until 17:00 at weekends. You park right next to it, so there are no corridors to walk through.

What is the minimum rental period?+

One month. After that you extend per month and can cancel monthly.

Are my belongings insured during storage?+

Not automatically. The cover of up to € 125,000 with no excess applies during transport by our movers, not during storage. For the storage period you can take out separate storage insurance with us if you wish, or insure the contents through your own home contents insurance.

How far in advance should I arrange this?+

Our planning runs about 8 weeks ahead. If your date is not fixed yet, request your price now anyway: that way we already reserve a period for you. If your date is closer, with a thousand of our own containers in Katwijk and Tilburg there is often still room at short notice.
