Here the route from your front door to the street decides who fills the container. On a slope or a long driveway carrying takes more time than it seems, and then we send enough movers with trolleys. If the truck has to stand on a permit space in Overveen or in paid parking on the Bloemendaalseweg, an exemption is needed in advance, which we can apply for on request as an extra service.

Do I need a permit in Bloemendaal if the container stands on the street?+

That depends on how long it stays. If the container stands on the public road for less than a day, a notification is enough in the municipality of Bloemendaal. If it stays longer, you need a permit, to be applied for no later than six weeks in advance, and it may not take up more than one parking space. On request we arrange that for you, as an extra service. In that case, let us know your date in good time. On your own driveway this does not apply.

My villa is high up and far from the street. Can the container still stand by the house?+

That depends on your driveway. If it is narrow or steep, or not built for a loaded truck, the truck stays on the road. Our movers then load and wheel your things on trolleys to the container, which then goes to Katwijk, sealed. We look at how long and steep that route is during the survey, because it decides how many movers we send.

Which container size suits an apartment or villa in Bloemendaal?+

For a small apartment, for example in Overveen, 16 m³ is usually enough. The complete contents of a family home fit in 33 m³, and with tall wardrobes or large pieces you choose 37 m³: the same floor area, but 30 centimetres taller. If the contents of an entire villa go into storage, your account manager determines during the survey how much space you need.

One month. After that you extend per month and can cancel monthly.

Not automatically. The cover of up to € 125,000 with no excess applies during transport by our movers, not during storage. For the storage period you can take out separate storage insurance with us if you wish, or insure the contents through your own home contents insurance.

How far in advance should I arrange this?+

Our planning runs about 8 weeks ahead. If your date is not fixed yet, request your price now anyway: that way we already reserve a period for you. If your date is closer, with a thousand of our own containers in Katwijk and Tilburg there is often still room at short notice.
