As of September 1, 2023, Oomen Verhuizers & Opslag has put four fully electric Ford e-Transit box trucks into service. Two of these vehicles are stationed at the main office in Katwijk, while the other two are deployed from the Tilburg branch. The vehicles represent a significant expansion of Oomen’s electric fleet and underscore the company’s ambition to operate completely emission-free in the near future.
The new e-Transit box trucks have a cargo capacity of no less than 24 m³ per vehicle. This makes them ideal for smaller moves, city moves, and deliveries where flexibility and accessibility are key. Thanks to their electric powertrain, they can also operate emission-free in environmental zones and inner-city areas.
The Ford e-Transit chassis cab is a versatile and powerful electric commercial vehicle that many companies view as the new standard in zero-emission transportation. It offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience, features a powerful electric motor, and has a range that is more than sufficient for most daily applications in the moving industry. The vehicles are equipped with modern safety features and connected technologies for optimal fleet management.
With this addition to its fleet, Oomen Verhuizers is taking another major step toward sustainability. A large portion of the fleet is now fully electric. All passenger cars are already electric, and the number of electric delivery vans is also growing rapidly. Along with the recently commissioned Mercedes eActros and the solar-powered automated container infrastructure, these four e-Transits demonstrate that Oomen is leading the way in the energy transition within the moving industry.
At Oomen Verhuizers, sustainable moving is no longer just a vision for the future, it’s part of our daily practice. With this investment, we’re reaffirming our commitment to a cleaner future, without compromising on quality or service.
