At Oomen Group, we continue to invest in a sustainable future. This month we took delivery of the first two of a total of three new Volvo FM Electric 6×2 trucks. The third will follow within the next few weeks. These fully electric trucks are equipped with a system for transporting swap bodies and containers, enabling us to carry out our moving operations even more efficiently and flexibly.
With this expansion, we are taking another solid step toward completely emission-free moving. We are proud that this further solidifies our position as a leader in electric moving transportation.
Green growth: 2 million euros extra in 2025
The arrival of these trucks is part of a broader investment in sustainability. In 2025 we will invest more than two million euros in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and solar panels. This investment is in addition to the substantial sustainability measures we have already implemented in recent years.
All our electric vehicles are charged with self-generated solar power at our locations in storage facilities in Katwijk, storage facilities in Rotterdam and Tilburg. In this way, we are not only working towards an emission-free operation on the road, but also towards a sustainable energy supply on our own premises.
27 electric vehicles in 2025
With the delivery of the new Volvo vehicles, our electric fleet will grow to as many as 27 all-electric vehicles by 2025. This will give us one of the largest electric vehicle fleets in the moving and storage industry in the Netherlands.
