Oomen Movers & Storage has taken delivery of four all-electric Ford e-Transit box trucks as of September 1, 2023. Two of these vehicles are stationed at the main site in Katwijk, while the other two are deployed from the Tilburg site. The vehicles represent a significant expansion of Oomen’s electric fleet and underscore its ambition to operate completely emission-free in the near future.
The new e-Transit box trucks are equipped with a load volume of no less than 24m3 per vehicle. This makes them ideal for smaller removals, city moves and shipments where flexibility and accessibility are important. Thanks to the electric drive, they can also operate emission-free in environmental zones and inner-city areas.
The Ford e-Transit chassis cab is a versatile and powerful electric utility vehicle that is seen by many companies as the new standard in emissions-free transportation. It offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience, features a powerful electric motor and a range that is more than sufficient for most daily applications in the moving industry. The vehicles are equipped with modern safety features and connected technologies for optimal fleet management.
With this addition to its fleet, Oomen Movers is taking another big step toward sustainability. A large part of the fleet is now fully electric. All passenger cars are already electric and the number of electric delivery vans is also growing rapidly. In addition to the recently commissioned Mercedes eActros and the automated container infrastructure on solar power, these four e-Transits show that Oomen is leading the way in energy transition within the moving industry.
