Hello, I'm Guido Baalbergen and I'm 32 years old. I was born on 12 January 1994 and I live in Rijnsburg.

My role at Oomen?
Keeping everything on track!
For more than 8 years I have been part of the team at Oomen Verhuizers, where I hold the position of Director. That means I take charge of both operations and sales, and make sure that everything, from the moves themselves to customer contact, runs smoothly.
Before Oomen and now
From home furnishing to moving expert.
My career started in home furnishing, but it soon became clear that my heart was in the moving business. By now I have made more than 7,500 home visits and I know almost every street, block of flats and lift in the region by heart. I know exactly where a moving lift will fit, whether that large wardrobe will go through the stairwell and which pitfalls we can avoid.
What have I learned in all those years? Listening is the key to a smooth move. Customers have their own ideas and wishes, and it is my job to respond to them well. Sometimes that means thinking along, sometimes it means suggesting a better solution. But always with one goal: making the move go as smoothly as possible.
Background & knowledge
Always keep learning.
I studied for four years at the HMC in Amsterdam, where I specialised in interior design. I also completed both a basic and an expert sales training course at Kenneth Smit, which further strengthened my understanding of customer communication and advice.
My daily mission
As director of Oomen/Nouwens I make sure every move goes smoothly. In managing the team, streamlining processes and maintaining customer relationships, I am always working to make our service even better.
Why I still enjoy going to work every day?
No two days are the same!
Every move brings a new challenge. From complicated city moves to relocating fragile art collections: it remains a trade in which you have to think on your feet and be creative. That is what makes the work so interesting.
