How we guard your belongings in our Katwijk warehouse

You get your own container, which is sealed in your presence and then sits in one of our own warehouses. The system knows exactly where each container is.

Every container gets a seal with a unique number. Broken seal = visible. No one gets in in the meantime, not even us.

I am moving on the seaside of Noordwijk in summer. Can the container still come?+

Yes, we just plan it differently. On warm days the roads to the coast fill up and the parking spaces in Noordwijk aan Zee are quickly taken. So we start early and request a temporary exemption in advance through the Digitaal Parkeerloket, so the truck stands at your door without a fine. Around the Bloemencorso flower parade in April we plan around the route.

I am coming to Noordwijk for work and my home is not available yet. Can my belongings go into storage until then?+

Yes. If you are moving to Noordwijk for ESTEC or another international employer, we also collect your belongings abroad. If your home is not available yet, everything stays in our climate-controlled warehouse in Katwijk until then. As soon as you have the keys, we deliver it to your new address.

Can I get to my belongings in between?+

Yes. Your container is kept in our warehouse on Taanderstraat in Katwijk. You book a moment in the app and the computer-operated crane puts it ready at the covered loading dock. That is possible until 19:00 on working days and until 17:00 at weekends. You park right next to it, so there are no corridors to walk through.

Where can the container stand?+

On your driveway or your own property it is usually no problem. If it has to stand on the street, the municipality often asks for a permit or notification. Tell us in your request where you want it and we will check whether it fits. If there is no room, our movers load and the container goes from the truck to the warehouse, sealed.

What is the minimum rental period?+

One month. After that you extend per month and cancel whenever you want.

Are my belongings insured during storage?+

Not automatically. The cover of up to € 125,000 with no excess applies during transport by our movers, not during storage. For the storage period you can take out separate storage insurance with us if you wish, or insure the contents through your own home contents insurance.

What size container do I need?+

10 m³ suits a studio or a few rooms, 16 m³ a small apartment, 33 m³ the complete contents of a family home and 37 m³ the same contents with tall or bulky items. 33 m³ is the most chosen size.

How far in advance should I arrange this?+

Our planning runs about 8 weeks ahead. If your date is not fixed yet, request your price now anyway: that way we already reserve a period for you. If your date is closer, with a thousand of our own containers spread over three branches there is often still room at short notice.
