storage Katwijk, November 15, 2023 – Her Majesty Queen Máxima paid a working visit to Oomen Opslag & Verhuizers in Katwijk on Wednesday, November 15. The visit was marked by the presentation of the Annual Report ‘State of the SME 2023’ of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship, of which Queen Máxima is a member.
During the visit, the annual report was presented to Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Micky Adriaansens and the president of MKB-Nederland, Jacco Vonhof. The report offers a trend analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Netherlands and addresses themes such as sustainability, digitalization, financing, labor market mobility and talent development.
Oomen Storage & Movers, a family-owned business, sets itself apart with innovative self-storage solutions where customers can access their storage containers through an online system. The company has invested in sustainability through a mostly electric vehicle fleet and the use of solar energy, which has resulted in an energy rating of A+++++.
The working visit concluded with a discussion of the recommendations from the annual report, which included a discussion of the “SME Service Action Agenda 2024-2026. This agenda is aimed at improving public services to entrepreneurs.
Queen Máxima’s visit highlights the importance of cooperation between government, entrepreneurs and educational institutions to strengthen the economic strength of SMEs.
